Spicy Steak, Brocolli and Brown Rice Stirfry
Dec 9th, 2011 | By Nina | Category: BeefThis is a great quick dinner that has awesome flavor and some good heat!! It only has 6 ingredients and you can always substitute the beef for chicken, seafood or tofu!! It makes great leftovers as well.
Ingredients:
1 Tablespoon of Canola Oil
Brown Rice (I prefer short grain brown rice. I cook it ahead in a rice cooker)
Fresh Broccoli florets (I steam it for about 3 1/2 minutes in the microwave first with a tablespoon of water)
Meat of your choice, cut it into smaller even size pieces
SoyVay Hoisin Garlic Asian Glaze and Marinade
House of Tsang - Szechwan Spicy Stir Fry Sauce
There really is no measuring in this recipe just throw as much of everything as you want into the wok and mix it up!!
This is the spicy one so if you like it hot do a more even ratio and if you like it mild just do about a 1 to 4 ratio with the other sauce.
You can find both of these sauces at most markets.
I used a top sirloin which is very lean
Cut it into even size pieces
Lightly steamed
Stir fry the meat in the canola oil first until completely cooked (I do mine a little on the medium rare side)
Add the cooked brocolli and toss together
Add some of each sauce and mix around
Then add the cooked brown rice to the wok
Stir it up and keep adding more of each sauce until coated!!! You will love it!
mmmmmmm……….

Nina – Thanks for the great recipes! We had the dijon panko chicken the other night – we all loved it! Kids thought I went to Lunds and made the pre-battered chicken. First time we actually had chicken thighs, it was really good. We are having the beef stir fry tonight and it smells so good! Thanks for posting pictures of the steps it really helps and I was able to find the ingredients easier, love visual! I wanted to tell you how great it is to have new ideas and thank you for sharing, I even passed on the chicken one to another friend! So, keep it up my family thanks you for new recipes too! Also, read the amazing things you and Morgan are doing for organ donation and how hard it must be for you each year and everyday. Keep up the positive faith and know your beautiful angel Quentin has helped so many other families. Thanks again – Jill
