Asian Style Cod…Apr 26th, 2012 | By Nina | Category: Fish, Recipes
Run to Whole Foods immediately!! I love when the fresh caught wild cod goes on sale!! YUM!! This is one of my husbands favorite fish. This is so quick to make and is so amazing to eat!!
I decided to make up a new little marinade and it turned out great!! So grab these ingredients and let’s get started!!
1 lb fillet of Cod
4 T Fish Sauce
4 T Rice Wine Vinegar
1/2 cup Brown Sugar
1 1/2 T Sesame Oil
3 T Sweet Dark Soy Sauce
1 T Red Pepper Flakes
2 T Fresh Ginger
1 T Fresh Garlic
First preheat the oven to 450 degrees. Line a cookie sheet with foil and lay the piece of fish on the foil. I like to poke the fish with a fork in quite a few places so that when I add the marinade is seeps into it. Add all of the ingredients into a mixing bowl and whisk away until it’s all together. Pour it over the fish and let it sit for about 10 minutes and then flip it and let it sit for a few more until you pop it into the oven for about 12 minutes. The cod will open up and will be firm to the touch and then you will know it’s finished. I love to serve it over short grain brown rice and steamed broccoli!!
These are awesome staple ingredients that you should always have in your pantry.
Add it all in and whisk it baby!!
Just plop the fish right on the foil lined cookie sheet.
Pour the marinade all over..
Okay you guys don’t be afraid of the black on the foil. The sugar burns in the oven that’s why the foil is key so you don’t have to sit and scrub a sticky pan for 100 hours.
Totally looks like a restaurant meal!! Soooooooooo good and there was not even a single grain of rice left on this plate!!! DELICIOUS!!!! It’s so easy and so healthy and so fresh!! Run to Whole Foods now!!! xoxoxoxoxxo
